Obituary for Jean McWherter Flynn

JEAN McWHERTER FLYNN, aged 56, passed away Sunday, 8/19/2018. Beloved wife of the late Brian Flynn and daughter of the late Neil McWherter. After graduating from Hiram College and then earning a Master’s Degree, she went to work in the insurance field until ill health caused her to retire. Jean then became a tireless advocate for the disabled with focus on cerebral palsy, where her superior communications skills served her well. Bright, compassionate and courageous, Jean was loved and admired by family and friends. She had a fine sense of humor and was a great movie fan. She is survived by her mother Susan Ludwig (stepfather Klaus), and many McWherter, Donaldson, Flynn, and Shriner relatives, as well as Joanne Drown and many other friends. Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141, (440) 526-6050 on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. with a service to follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation or the National Hemophilia Foundation.
